-Aim: to increase productivity across the board, especially heavy industry( like steel and machinery)
-He took over privately owned land to create Farms units for farmers to share
-Profits shared by all farmers( because the theory of communism requires abolition of private property)
-Collectivization was most enforced to kulaks

-People left in search of work , which limited housing, utilities, food
-People starved to death
-Couldn't meet production quotas
-In protest they killed livestocks and burned crops
